Grief Support Resources

Soon after Will’s passing we enlisted the help of a network of support.  One of the individuals that we met and continue to receive counselling from is Rev. Bob Glasgow.  Bob came to us (or, rather, we found Bob) through the Calgary Health Region where he founded and continued to be a part of the Grief Support Program at the Rocky View Hospital 27 years ago.  We found him to be most helpful and incredibly compassionate.  I don’t know where I’d be without the counselling he provided.  At a time when nothing in the world made any sense, he gave us hope, helped us believe, and connected us with other parents who had lost a child — all with a listening ear, and a kind and giving heart.  I refer to Bob as my “Mini God”.  He is well known and highly regarded in all areas of grief and time spent with him is truly a gift.  He has since retired from Alberta Health Services and can be reached at his new venture, Soul Consolation,  where he offers counselling and is involved in speaking engagements and teaching.
